The Trackmania Grand League World Cup 2021 group stage phase is over! CarlJr, Pac, Kappa, Papou, Aurel, Scrapie, Massa & Affi are the 8 players qualified for the playoffs which will take place on July 4th!
In 6 rounds the group stage phase gave us many great fights. In the end, the leaderboard was dominated by 3 former world champions.
CarlJr finished the group stage at the top of the general ranking and managed to win every single match he played (18 points)! The Solary player will once again be the favorite in this competition.
2016 World Champion Pac was second, 2 points behind CarlJr. Pac struggled in his first match with a 3rd place finish but the MnM athlete won his 5 last games.
Kappa closed the top 3 with 14 points and a very consistent performance. The reigning world champion who was qualified through the Open Qualifier will fight to keep his crown on July 4th!
Papou & Aurel were respectively 4th and 5th, both with 13 points. The two French players will meet on Sunday in the second semi-final.
Scrapie (12 points) was 6th thanks to a wonderful second day and two match wins. The Lazarus player overtook Massa during the last round; he then finished in 7th place with 9 points.
Affi secured his spot at the last minute, beating Spam in the last match of the day. Affi & evoN both had 8 points, but as Affi qualified through his better TMGL results he has priority over evoN and took 8th place.
Next and final step: Trackmania Grand League World Cup playoffs on Sunday, July 4th starting at 6 PM CEST. 8 players are still running, but only one will be crowned!
